Blog: Getting the Science Write
Are dragons warm-blooded or cold-blooded? How do elves live so long? And how many liters of blood does a vampire need to drink to meet their caloric demands?
What was once a tiny experiment intended to fill up 30 minutes before class at the start of my Phd has become my current writing pride and joy. I combine my love of science fiction and fantasy with my passion for science to produce (usually) monthly to explore the hypothetical science of fictional settings and creatures. If you’re someone who’s ever wondered if feather-clad dragons are plausible, then this is the blog for you!

Upcoming Fiction: 17th Wing Riders
Want to see my blog in action, where fantasy tropes are shown through a science lens? Keep an eye out for my upcoming indie fantasy comedy, 17th Wing Riders! With the heart and story structure of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the fantasy humor of Dark Lord of Derkholm, this new novel explores a young dragon biologist navigating her first year at a dragon rider college!
